C2B Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) Considering I made a thread wishing farewell to Obsidianities who leave I thought it might be neat to make a thread welcoming new ones and congratulate members on promotions. (I apologize for every Obsidian member I'm going to miss. ) And we're starting with Carrie Patel Having gotten the contract writer position that was posted for Project Eternity she now works as a narrative designer on it. All the best and we're looking forward to your work! And we're congratulating Zachary Simon After starting as a audio intern on South Park in march this year he has now moved up in the world to a position that actually gets him paid! As of this month he can call himself Junior Sound Designer at Obsidian. Edited December 19, 2013 by C2B 3
Labadal Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 137 employees according to LinkedIn. Not bad, not bad at all. 1
C2B Posted December 19, 2013 Author Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) 137 employees according to LinkedIn. Not bad, not bad at all. You have to remember though that you're not working with accurate numbers there. Employees that aren't on Linkedin, haven't updated their profiles or are working for a completly different company with the same name in a different country. It's probably a good estimate anyway. Labadal Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 You're probably right. I guess we can at least assume there are ~100 employees at the company.
Walsingham Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I'm just going to assume that you know this because you live in a tree outside their offices. 1 "It wasn't lies. GhostofAnakin Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I'm just going to assume that you know this because you live in a tree outside their offices. Tree? That's way too high tech. Shane has a insane history with White Wolf, is the creative director at bynightstudio and was among lots of other things community rep for activision on bloodlines. Also apparently throws sick parties. Life has an interesting way of things at times. The universe is full or irony and karmic humor. Case in point: Exactly twenty years ago this week I got my very first job offer to work for my very first game company Wizards of the Coast. Today is the exact day physical copies of Mind's Eye Theatre: Vampire: The Masquerade started arriving to some people, and lastly twenty years almost to the day I accepted my first game company offer I'm excited to say I've accepted a position with my old friends at Obsidian Entertainment. Ive always been a life-long RPG guy at heart and this is a thrilling time to get back into the heart of the business of making great games. And thus begins another exciting chapter in my never ending adventures. So off to The OC I go!
