Manu's terrific when he shows up.  As he's gotten older he's shown up less and less often.

As of this morning, only two teams (Indiana and Miami) are above .500 in the East and only three (Minnesota, Sacramento, and Utah) are below .500 in the West. Toronto is the number 4 seed and tops in the Atlantic with .375. Ouch.

35 wins might be enough to make the playoffs in the East this year. 

 

With what's projected to be the best draft in at least 10 years looming next year, it seems a good number of teams are executing Operation Tank Job.

8th straight win for the Thunder.  Kevin Durant keeps developing as a player with his rebounding numbers on the rise this year.  He's averaging almost 8 1/2 boards a game, which is a really high number for a small forward (that's a power forward rebounding number).  It's pretty crazy that he's only 25 and hasn't even peaked yet.  The more important thing to watch on this team is the development of guys like Jeremy Lamb and Reggie Jackson.  They're desperately going to need those guys in the playoffs to score.  They've never really replaced Harden's scoring and they sorely miss him, even if they don't miss his nonexistent defense.  The Thunder will need to make a move at some point this year and get another scorer, even if Lamb and Jackson come into their own. Goran Dragic would probably be the perfect guy for them to get.

LOL.  The Knicks got smoked by the Celtics (not exactly a powerhouse this year) by 41 points.  41 POINTS!!!

Nice W for the Thunder tonight over the Pacers.  Both Durant (36 points 14-23 shooting 10 rebounds 5 assists) and Westbrook (26 points 11-17 shooting 7 rebounds 13 assists) put up big time numbers and had efficient shooting nights.

And the Tank Brigade has has mobilized in Toronto. Plus a really nifty salary dump in trading Gay to Sacramento. Both teams sgould benefit to some extent.

Another game another W for the Thunder.  Both KD and Russ played limited minutes probably partially because it was the second night of a back to back, but also, and more importantly, because both Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb had big scoring nights off the bench, scoring 17 and 18, respectively, and doing it efficiently.  I think both KD and Russ would gladly give up minutes and shots if it means getting Jackson and Lamb going.  Having those guys contribute solid scoring off the bench could well be the difference between a second or third round exit and a trip to the finals.

Lols. Warriors should have been called for a tech after the chest bump for having too many players on the court.

 

Lucky the officiating was so bad all night long! Would have been depressingly epic had it been called.
