firstinlastout
What is the plan on the overall gameplay view? Will it be third person (Diablo?) or possibly be able to switch to first person? Any answer to this would be awesome, or if I can somehow assist with this thought I would be more than happy too.

curryinahurry
Isometric 3rd person, similar to the all of the IE games (Baldur's Gate, et al.). POV will likely to be fixed but potentially zoom-able. There are some wikis on this page; you should check them out because they likely answer several of these types of questions. Cheers

Osvir
Isometric perspective. Kind of "top down" perspective.1. Baldur's Gate 2. Icewind Dale 3. Planescape Torment 4. While I'm still at it: Project Eternity No First Person. Edited September 9, 2013 by Osvir

Cheers If you want to be more accurate then viewing point that game uses is bird's eye view and backgrounds are rendered in isometric (or some other axonometric) projection, so that everyting in screen looks like it stays in same distance from you when view screen moves. Similar to IE games. Edited September 9, 2013 by Elerond
curryinahurry
^ Bird's Eye always makes me think perspective, but your point is made. Where the BG games all 45 degree rotation, I never checked, but that's how it seemed? I think PE is doing 30 degree rotation.
