April 26, 201312 yr I was collecting all my music from various computers and devices and was overwhelmed my the amount of duplicates and missing info on songs I have. If you have any recommendations of software to help me organizes my mess of songs and albums I would greatly appreciated. Thanks
April 26, 201312 yr Not really an answer, but I use foobar2000 as my all purpose music organiser and player. I do use it to fix up dodgy tags, bulk renames, format conversions, etc, but I can't really compare it to specialised tools out there since the only other program I use is Exact Audio Copy to do the ripping from CD. Yeah, 100% of my music is still purchased on CD (then ripped to FLAC for desktop/HTPC listening and to ogg for portable players). L I E S T R O N GL I V E W R O N G
April 28, 201312 yr I use Foobar2000, it's streets ahead of anything else, been using it for a bit over 8 years. Foobar2000 has mass tag, rename, move, and copy. Foobar2000 can search freedb.org for tags, there's also MusicBrainz Picard. MediaMonkey is pretty good, you can do a lot of the same things but it's not as customizable or as minimalistic. dupeGuru Music Edition finds duplicate files. April 29, 201312 yr Mp3tag works very well for tagging. I use it along with foobar2000. "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. May 7, 201312 yr A happy ending, for once. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
