I know, and I'm confident that it will eventually be released, but the team has always stressed that they prefer to delay and keep on perfecting/polishing rather than release something they're less than pleased with. It's the whole reason the game is taking so long.

Hack n Slash, but do have a look at Path of Exile  . IMO, what Diablo 3 should have been. It's just got *that* feeling so many new games are missing.

 

 

Hmm, this looks pretty cool.

POE is a good game but I quit after 2 hours. It made me realise that the reason I wasn't into Diablo 3 wasn't just that D3 was bad; it was also that I'm no longer very happy playing a game like D2. There's the age / decreased tolerance for grinding thing, but also, D2 really was the pinnacle of that kind of gameplay and I don't really need more of it. For those who do, though, POE is pretty much the best I've seen in recent years.
