And It's going to run you just shy of 1000 Euro. You could either have a medium to high range gaming rig with all the trimmings, or this. For people with more money than sense I suppose.

For the most part it's around a third faster than the preceding GTX 680, and in general around 15-20% faster than the top-end HD 7970 we've tested.

It has 6 gigs of vram also

Edited by Bokishi

I saw that the other day. I'd definitely love to have one, "just because," (not like I need it) but I'm not buying a card priced like that again for a long time. Heh.

....but it does make me drool.

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

A third more performance for triple the price. Pointless from a consumer perspective of course, but as a 'halo' card, it's always a marketing win to be able to say you have the best, fastest card in the business.

Despite the "Boost"-feature making most reviews unusable (temperature dependent performance - test in a lab on an open rig improves performance compared to real world conditions) and the borderline dangerous marketing stunts (monitor overclocking - anyone could do that manually before to push the monitor's hardware to its limits, but now it's sanctioned): I think it's an attractive piece of GPU-hardware, thanks to good performance and excellent perf / w. The price is a bad joke of course, but for 450€ I'd have bought it immediately, if I weren't happy with my current card :)

It certainly makes me wish I had sponsors for builds. As it is though, I'll wait for the Kepler refresh lineup before switching back to NVIDIA from ADM (HD 6950 w/ unlocked shaders).

The unlocked shaders feature on this card is nice, but you would want a professional workstation card for 3dsmax for that kind of money I imagine. Unless you are determined to have the best of both worlds.

This may sound weird, but I'm going to be little bit disappointed if Bokishi doesn't buy it.

And by "it" you mean three of them, right?
