Leferd Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 How fast do we level up? What's the level cap? Are we going low (ala BG1) or high ((DA, ME, etc.) Do we learn by action? Are XP's dished out per kill/action or only for completing quests? Thoughts? preferences? I prefer sticking with low levels and XP only for completing quests. Nice byproduct being that you don't necessarily have a body count of an overpowered psychopath - being diplomatic or sneaky won't seem like the self-gimping option. 2 "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
buggeer Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 A small bit of exp for killing things would be nice, but I agree that the most experience should come from completing quests. Or they could use the third way - compensate the exp lost due to being diplomatic with bonus "successful ... attempt" points.
Paul D Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Could crafting\dialogue\training (the softer skills) be another way; allowing those who spend the points on mastery of skills through practice also can level up.
True_Spike Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I think a Baldur's Gate-like x2 progression would be nice, but it's really hard to tell without knowing the game better (its scope and design).
