If you have DS3 + DLC and are using Windows with a non-English date format (Month Day, Year), the game will crash immediately after the company logos.

 

Solution:

Start - Control Panels - Region and Language - Format: English (US)

Confirm

Play

 

Of course now you'll see system date and time in the strange US format, the month first.

 

The bug has been known for a few months and obviously affects half the Earth but unfortunately it seems no patch will be produced.
