Tale
They've already issued a fix, limiting the plug-in to only access Uplay. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Humodour
They've already issued a fix, limiting the plug-in to only access Uplay. So what? The issue is that they shipped a ****ing rootkit in the first place.

The issue is that they shipped a ****ing rootkit in the first place. That is an issue. Not THE issue. If you equate active vulnerabilities to fixed vulnerabilities, then you downplay the need to ever fix them. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater." WDeranged
I'm glad they fixed it but it's still another black mark against Ubi in my book

Gorth
I don't think Ubisoft has anything in their lineup anyway that would be to my taste, so not much of an issue personally. I would be furious though if I bought a piece of software and it tried to sneak some backdoor software in under the guise of being "necessary for the consumer experience". Ah well, maybe their wallets are hurting enough now that they see the light at the end of the tunnel? “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Tale
Ah well, maybe their wallets are hurting enough now that they see the light at the end of the tunnel? That's the new update. Ubisoft is turning on its old statements and promising to stick with only an initial activation. One-time activation, nothing persistent. However, until put in practice, skepticism is advised.
