Tale
I think I'd like to play a game that punished me for being good. Mainly because I have this fantasy in my head of playing a guy who does get pounded into the ground, day in, day out, and just gets back up to face the difficulties. Who at the end of it all has lost everything that was dear to him personally, but keeps on doing it because he knows it is right. And then, at the end, dies alone and to be forgotten, but the world lives on better than ever. Something bittersweet. Not enough of it out there, I think. I won't say games are devoid of it, but they may force it a bit too much. And pop it up only at the end. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater." Nonek
Legacy of Kain? The first bitter taste of that terrible illusion: Hope. Kain fighting an endless battle with the fates decreed by tyrannous stars, an unusual theme in a genre replete with prophecy and "but thou must" commandments. Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin. Tea for the teapot!
Tale
I am, as before, your right hand. Your sword. Though, Kain was a jerk. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
HoonDing
I don't know about you, but I want more sidequests where I eat priests. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Nonek
Can't disagree, Raziel was the tragic hero. Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? Oner
I am, as before, your right hand. Your sword. Though, Kain was a jerk. Too bad that cutscene was rushed. Also, where the hell is my DVD? Maria Caliban
I don't know about you, but I want more sidequests where I eat priests. Don't we all? "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
Gorth
I don't know about you, but I want more sidequests where I eat priests. Don't we all? Only game I've seen this in is Nethack and it was just incidental, not a quest “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
