Tawmis Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 http://blastr.com/2011/01/judge-bans-dd-in...ng-behavior.php Judge bans D&D in prison, rules it 'could lead to gang behavior' 0diggsdigg 289Share If you're reading this, chances are you've played Dungeons & Dragons: a game that involves creativity, quick thinking and a tendency to eat too many potato chips in one sitting. Anyone can play D&D who can get his hands on a rules book and a set of dice

Orogun01 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 It's for the best, playing D&D on prison ranks just below dropping the soap on the "things that get you raped" list. I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"* *If you can't tell, it's you.
Enoch Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showtopic=54106 Seriously old news.

Blarghagh Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 You know, honestly, that bit about it possibly creating new loyalties that lead to organized (i.e. "gang") behavior kindof makes a little sense. It's the bit after where everything goes bat**** ****ing loco.
Walsingham Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 It's for the best, playing D&D on prison ranks just below dropping the soap on the "things that get you raped" list. Speaking of which, don't you think it's weird that they are taking tough action on D&D, but not the endemic violence in the US system? "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.

Speaking of which, don't you think it's weird that they are taking tough action on D&D, but not the endemic violence in the US system? Violence it's as American as apple pie on the other hand comics, rock & roll, PnP and video games are commie pastimes. Really, whenever you talk about the US system you must remember that its the US system, rationale its not what we do best. Deflecting and keeping the public's attention on new threats while they become desensitized to the real problems, is our forte. Volourn Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 "You know, honestly, that bit about it possibly creating new loyalties that lead to organized (i.e. "gang") behavior kindof makes a little sense." No, it doesn't. Gange behaviour and 'grouping' in prison is very likely as old as prison itself and occured well before D&D was created in the 70s. The whole issue is pathetic. "Violence it's as Human as breathing" Fixed. Only bigots pretend that vioence is an Amerikan focused disease. Violence existed well before Amerika was even thought of.
