Deadly_Nightshade Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I just thought that someone should point out the charity fund-raiser that is going on for Child's Play and Electronic Frontier Foundation. You get to name your price for the five independent game titles -they are World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru, and Penumbra: Overture- and the percentage that goes to charity (or the developers if you think they should get a cut as well). Also, for those who do buy the pack, the makers of Penumbra have included a coupon that lowers the price of the full Penumbra Collection to just $5 when ordered from their site. It's a good deal for a good cause, and it looks like the payments, when compared to other pay-what-you-will events like the World of Goo sale, are showing that (while low the average is about $7-$8 a person). "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Tigranes Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 That's pretty cool, actually. I already have World of Goo but maybe the others are worth looking into for the purpose. Gorth Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 I guess I can spare $50 for a handful of games. Some of them looked quite neat >_ Paid through Amazon (as I wouldn't touch paypal with a 10 foot pole) “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Gorth Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 VF wise. Paypal are barely regulated, with fraud ago go to prove it. I'm amazed people still use them. I use it on rare occasions, like at gunpoint when no other option is available, and then only the pay without having an account option. Happens once or twice a year. Anyway, Samorost 2 added to the bundle. "Retrofitted" to the bundle for those who already bought it “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt.
