Cool.

Socialist party in Holland just seems to be losing ground. -_-

(What? Just 'cause I think lord of flies is a jackass doesn't mean I hate all socialists. I vote socialist party most of the time.)

She seems to be a nice girl, although at least I would be reluctant to vote for a party who has never held power. Although in a way, that really highlights an inherent problem with the American way of democratic representation.

Yes, and that is why (I think) the PSL focuses on elections where it can be more competitive, so that it can eventually succeed and show that it is capable of holding power.
But, really, it's no use discussing politics with you or Mr. Flies - you're two sides of the same coin.
Yeah. I'm the right side, and he's the wrong side.

There are actually benefits to running for election even in a lost cause. I'm no expert on them, but I believe that when you reach a certain percentage of the vote you gain benefits in future elections. I remember that was the big reason Ralph Nader always ran, it allowed his party to take part in other political events if he garnered like 5% of the vote.

That's true. Or at least it is in an election where you only need quota (not majority) to win. I don't know if that little observation would hold in America's voting system.

Not hot.

Not hot.

Oh come on, worth a poke if your telly's broke, yeah?

Not hot =! wouldn't poke, buddy.

Where the hell have you been LoF? Have you not realized that I oppose socialism?

That's a really dumb blanket statement, especially because I've yet to hear you give a coherent definition of socialism.

Hint: It's not simply "redistribution of wealth."
