gamerguy845
I am pretty sure there haven't been any offcial announcements, but doesn't AP seem like the perfect game for a demo? It seems like a slap in face not to have one because of how the game is layed out, plus it would boost marketing. Thoughts, Opnions?
Pop
It would be good advertising if you included the strengths of the game in the demo (some minor C&C coming from dialogue, for example) but it could very well be the case that it's just not feasible to craft a 15-30 minute demo from what they have right now. For all we know they're working under the gun to get the full game as polished as possible for shipping and a demo just doesn't figure on their list of priorities. Humodour
Yeah, it does seem like a game suited for a demo. I would adore a demo.
Morgoth
Well, the game's mission based, so it should be technically possible to do a demo. But I doubt there will be one. Obsidian is too busy finishing the actual game. Edited August 31, 2009 by Morgoth Rain makes everything better.
gamerguy845
Of course, the day I ask this, we get confirmation that the demo is officially a "no show" ( downbeat article) I think Obsidian is making a mistake judging by how to game is not limited in how to make a demo ( where as Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 might be). Anyways, I still have good hopes for this game.
Nepenthe
I think Obsidian is making a mistake judging by how to game is not limited in how to make a demo ( where as Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 might be). Anyways, I still have good hopes for this game. As far as I know, it's always the publisher who 100 % makes the call of a demo being made or not. So replace the 'Obsidian' with 'Sega' and you're golden. You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions
Cl_Flushentityhero
I think it'd be pretty cool having a demo in which you make a major decision and it jumps to the point in the game where some impressive consequence occurs. That said, I mostly just want to play the game before the release date without going to PAX.
Humodour
Considering Alpha Protocol's lack of any ****ing advertisement & marketing campaign you'd think a demo would be a superb idea. Bah.
Alec Trevelyan
We are in desperate need of a demo. Something short that displays the stealth, shooting, dialogue and throws in a lock picking mini-game and we're all sweet
Purkake
I'd like a demo. Far too few PC games have demos these days
