One of these days I'm going to have to dust off that PS2 in the closet and find a copy of Ico/SotC to see what all the fuss is about.

 

That will be the day that a videogame makes you cry

 

And if you don't like it you can complain about it on GAF...

Out of curiousity, I just popped over to Amazon to check prices:

 

SotC: New: $19.99; Used: ~$11. About normal for a game its age.

 

Ico: New: $149.50; Used: ~$40.

 

(The kicker is that I remember strongly contemplating buying a copy of Ico years ago out of the 'used games' bin in a shop for about $15.)

NeoGAF is a popular internet gaming forum and they really like SotC there.

 

I don't have a clue why it's so expensive. I also haven't played either but I know the general story(not much of a console guy...)

 

EDIT: Oh and SotC has some performance issues and is generally different than most other games, most of it's value is in the story and presentation, so don't expect the best game in the world when going in.

Well, Ico is practically a lost artifact in New Zealand now, but secured myself a second hand copy of Okami, which is almost as rare. That alone makes my PS2 worth it.
