November 15, 200817 yr I really love Knight of The Old Republic. I played it a few times and I also played the sequal and loved that too. What other games can you people think of that are like it that are as enjoyable? The games that I have already played like it are: Vampires The Masquerade: Bloodlines Oblivion I tried playing The Witcher but its not my cup of tea. Ill probably give it another try some other time like i did Stalker. I ended up loving stalker later on also. Thanks in advance everyone!
November 15, 200817 yr I'd recommend Jade Empire. It's also made by Bioware (who did the first Kotor). Rain makes everything better.
November 15, 200817 yr Author Hmmm looks interesting. $30 bucks on STEAM. I think im goinng to try it out Thanks!
November 15, 200817 yr Mass Effect. Again, made by Bioware. Their best game. In 7th grade, I teach the students how Chuck Norris took down the Roman Empire, so it is good that you are starting early on this curriculum. R.I.P. KOTOR 2003-2008 KILLED BY THOSE GREEDY MONEY-HOARDING ************* AND THEIR *****-*** MMOS
November 15, 200817 yr Yes, but Mass Effect doesn't feel like KotOR at all. It's so action RPGish. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
November 15, 200817 yr Author Yes, but Mass Effect doesn't feel like KotOR at all. It's so action RPGish. I actually played this game too. I thought it was entertaining, but traveling to all the worlds felt like such a task, most were just deserted planets with one thing on it. blah. It was still good, just not as immersive as i would have liked.
November 15, 200817 yr Yeah, Mass Effect is a good game if you avoid the uncharted worlds. Play only the story missions, you won't miss the XP since the game is so easy anyway. Rain makes everything better.

Thats the thing i like to explore every nook and cranny in a game! Im a perfectionist when it comes to completing them. Which is why one must get a mod leveler if one wants to play oblivion like that! unless you like defeating only minotaus, ogres and trolls! yikes!
November 15, 200817 yr Jedi Outcast probably? Isn't an RPG but felt nicely Star Wars-y to me. Citizen of a country with a racist, hypocritical majority
November 15, 200817 yr "Yes, but Mass Effect doesn't feel like KotOR at all. It's so action RPGish." Um... JE is also an Action RPG. And, ME fells like an Action RPG because it is an Action RPG. It's also 1 million times ebtter than KOTOR. As for what other KOTOR like games the OP should try, most of 'em are covered. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
November 16, 200817 yr Well, Fallout 3 is the newest of the good RPG's, and of you liked Oblivion and Stalker then you'll love it. I'd say Mass Effect is exactly like Knights of the Old Republic. It just isn't Star Wars. Unless you are crazy and like to nitpick everything, you'll definitely enjoy it.

I'd say Mass Effect if you want a deeper story and better writing and more shootery stuff. NWN2 if you want the deeper story and better writing but you want to get even deeper into the D20 systems. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
