Your oracle business started going down the gutter as soon as you said you should start one.

And I want to change my Russia-Sweden prediction to a "2-1" win to Sweden. If Sweden win 3-2 then I'm going to get angry and hunt you all down.

The table remains very close (and as usual, my scores are off by one goal. Wait, no, this time I was completely off.)

So far my plan is working. I'm just giving you all a false sense of security. But now I will strike... and strike hard.

Lets say, for example, Italy win 2-1 in extra time, would you still get the 3pts even if you don't predict them winning in extra time but get the correct score line? I assume so because no one's put AET in their predictions but that might be because no one's made any, so I'm just making sure.

That's a good point, and to be honest, I'm not sure how it's normally done. It's too close to the first game time for most people to change that prediction, so I will go ahead and say that all scores indicate the final score and result, including shoot-outs (if you predict 2-1 and they win on penalties after 1-1, you get it right). Hildegaard will, in this way, have a chance to change his Spain result.

I just think it's best for everyone to predict the eventual result. We can do things differently for semifinals if you find a big problem with this, but I think we should go with that for QFs. Sorry guys, thanks for the heads up Architect.

No worries, but I think we should do it this way:

Predict a penalty shoot-out and the right winner = 3pts

Predict the correct score = 3pts, obviously.

Predict the right result but not the correct score = 1pt.

Predict the wrong result = **** all, obviously.

If you predict a 2-1 score, the score finishes up AET as 1-1 and the team you predicted to win wins the shoot-out, then you shouldn't get 3pts because you didn't get the right score line, just the right result.

And last of all:

Predict the correct score but not as an extra time predicted score = 2pts

And a correctly predicted score line in extra time = 3pts.

How does that sound?

Sounds complicated. How about just predicting score after 90 mins? If it's a draw it's a draw.

Portugal [1] v Germany [0]

Croatia [3] v Turkey [1]

Netherlands [2] v Russia [1]

Spain [0] v Italy [1]

Back in town and with updated scores. Most of us got pretty much everything wrong, but not so with Diogo, who is now pulling clear on 17 points.

Semis format:

Germany [] - Turkey []

Spain [] - Russia []

Finally, since hardly anyone picked up on the Top Goalscorer thing, we'll drop it.

Well, uh - everybody gets 1 point!

With Turkey though, we should have realised it would be a crazy score.

Will update after the next semi.

Alright, Diogo Ribeiro did not move this turn but seems to have won: but second place is very close, and the final shoudl be worth it.
