walkerguy
Since I'm called a "necromancer" Don't know if anyone have been posting this earlier, if that's the case - my apologiez. Yah, anyways. I found this article today, and, darn, like it says in the text - he, Okona, look extremly much like Atton. Well, here it is. wow its atton Twitter | @Insevin
Shryke
jeez dude lighten up a bit it wasn't a jab at you personally, it was more of a "let sleeping threads die" sorta thing and yes, he looks a heck of a lot like Atton (i don't think anybody was really arguing that in the original thread anyway) when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse! Brdavs
The correct formulation would be "it`s Thadiun Okona" under an atton pic me hinks heh But I guess the "K1 is a knock-off of OT wich is somehow bad, and K2 is superoriginal to the point a 20 year old character "is atton"" strikes again seriously... funny coincidance... but only if you`re obsessive to the point every hooded character in a flick past or yet to come is "a jedi"... Shryke
u calling me fat smart *** i actually found an old clip of this episode a while back. Okona (or whatever his name is) seems a very rogueish sort of character, which also fits in very well with the Atton comparison when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse! walkerguy
I don't watch Star Trek (too old school). I watch Stargate Atlantis and bits of SG-1. Maybe Atton will come through the stargate. Twitter | @Insevin
Xard
I'm not sure about Atton = Okona connection writing wise, but Okona's outfit has propably been inspiration for concept art artist How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. I dare you to show your builds and I will tear you apart in an arugment about how these builds will won them. - OverPowered Godzilla (OPG)
Shryke
don't get me wrong Xard, i wasn't meaning it in a sense of "OMG obsidian stoleded it off star trek!!!1!" i was just noting that Okoma behaved in a rather scoundrel-ish manner in the episode when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse! qt3.14159
Being curious I looked into finding more images of Okona and have decided that if anything, Okona is loosely based on Han, as is Atton. He is missing Atton's trademark fingerless gloves, his shirt is much too puffy and he has a pony tail, for goodness sake! http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/seri...sode/68366.html Anybody here catch that? All I understood was 'very'.
Guest Accept
I've tried with my whole power to cover the tracks of the existence of that thread, but like The Architect it obviously just can't be silenced.
LadyCrimson
Yes, Okona has a similar characterization as Atton. And Han Solo. I wish my Star Trek Companion book wasn't packed away. I thought it was confirmed in there that the writers/producers/whatever definitely had Solo in mind when they created him. But I'm not 100% sure - my memory isn't always, uh, reliable. “Things are as they are.
