September 30, 200718 yr I'll emulate if I must, but I would prefer native: Might purchase and put here if I still need Win for NWN2 toolset: If it can only go on this, the show stops: I don't want to talk about these: So what's the word? Just what I needed, another forum to keep up with. Neversummer PW
October 1, 200718 yr The word is that it's with Sega. There's no official word yet, but I'd speculate it's going console first. Then afterwards, PC/Windows. No excuse for it to be Vista only. SEGA SIGNS OBSIDIAN ENTERTAINMENT TO DEVELOP ALIEN TITLE FOR NEXT-GENERATION SYSTEMS http://www.sega.com/aliens/index.php So, that means you don't want to talk about it. October 1, 200718 yr Maybe Sega is going back to what it did best. Making good, competatively priced consoles. Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.
October 2, 200718 yr I think I once read somewhere that it was announced for consoles and PC. I think Ferg mentioned it. Rain makes everything better.
October 3, 200718 yr I hope it comes out for PC, but who knows? And perhaps by the time it does, Windows Vista will have been 'fixed' (read 'finished'). Morgoth, can you find that quote from Feargus? It would be good to know if that's the case. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)

It would be good to know if that's the case. Not sure if Ferg really mentioned it (maybe I just had hallucinations), but there two links and probably more were it is stated: Click SEGA today announced that Obsidian Entertainment will create a role-playing game based on the Alien film franchise with license from Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising. This title will be developed for the next-generation systems and the PC. Click Both titles are expected to hit the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC sometime in a few years. You Rain makes everything better.
October 11, 200718 yr ****. You're kidding right? Obsidian is catering to consoles? Massive respect loss.
October 11, 200718 yr Maybe they learnt some hard lessons about economic viability during their BIS days? As long as I can play a decent version of it on my PC, I wouldn't really complain if they also made a profit so they can make more games. “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. October 11, 200718 yr It's art, dude! They're not supposed to make money! I am just a little jaded from experiences like Oblivion and Deus Ex 2. No matter what anyone says, dumbing down happens.
October 11, 200718 yr I feel your pain. I had similar experiences with a game that I liked very much, called Red Faction. The sequel, being "multi platform" was horrible On the other hand, I doubt that Alien will be Oblivion with pulse rifles “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
October 12, 200718 yr Consoles suck. How dare Obs cater to the kiddies. Keep it pc only guys. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
October 12, 200718 yr Red Faction was an alright FPS. Red Faction 2 was a completely different, much lower quality "game". I wouldn't know they were related except for the name they share.

And yet, Bioshock was developed for separate platforms, catering specifically to the strengths of each. (I haven't played it yet, either on the PC or a console, so I don't know if this contradicts or supports your comment ... ) OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
October 20, 200718 yr I'm glad they put it on console. My computer can barely take Battlefront 2. And I'm not the only one who doesn't want to throw out 300$ to run a game on PC. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
