I'm upgrading to the current version now and am going to give it a spin. It remains, I think, the best mod ever released for a computer game. My opinion is colored by the fact that I think Jagged Alliance 2 is one of the best pc games ever, however. August 29, 200718 yr I can second that the new build is incredibly stable, and if you never played 1.13 (or JA2) it is a great experience. It's really the only game I go back and play every year.

August 30, 200718 yr JA3 will, at best, be Silent Storm in a modern day setting. While I'm very excited about that prospect, I'm not expecting it to capture the personality of the originals. The Sir-Tech team put a remarkable amount of wit and charm into their games, and that's just extremely difficult to duplicate.

The third game in a franchise sucks :sad: Having very unfond memories of Tombraider III, Lords of Midnight III, Master of Orion III etc. Now off to grab the latest 1.13 downloads. JA2 the awesomest tactical combat game around. More like a tactical combat/rgg hybrid really. August 30, 200718 yr I've been getting CTD's left and right with this mod. It's a shame because I really liked what they did with it. Those crashes seem to occur when I'm in the strategic map and am checking out inventory of the mercs. August 30, 200718 yr Hmm, do you have the latest update for 1.13? Last year I had quite a few CTD's, but the recent build seemed more stable on my rig.

August 30, 200718 yr Well, I think any game that comes out 10 years removed from a series is going to be very different than the originals. I don't really see different as necessarilly bad, but plenty of folks do.

It was once supposed to be JA 3D, but then was renamed for whatever reasons. http://www.3dgamers.com/games/jazzhiredguns/downloads/ I haven't try it yet, but I never really got into JA style games anyway. I'm a sucker for the Commandos games, however. Too bad there won't be a proper sequel. Rain makes everything better.
