what am?

fighter. gots instincts and attitude of fighter. only useful lesson we learned from Gromnir Sr. were: take the first shot. have some martial training, but more important is fact that if we is in a situation in which violence is possible, we has absolutely 0 hesitation. is a good thing that we gots an education, 'cause our tendency to go blood simple is far less of an issue now that we is srrounded by nice people who were raised right: people who will go pretty far out of their way to avoid a physical confrontation.

'course, now that Gromnir is getting older... probably still a fighter.

what would Gromnir wish to be? not a fighter, that is for damned sure. would want a career choice that were far less lethal. cleric... not a cheesy FR cleric, 'cause worshipping FR deities would not be something we could stomach. nevertheless, d&d rules does allows for clerics sans a specific deity. would amuse us to no end to be a priest o' Gromnirism, for want o' a better description. strength o' our convictions would result in mystical/magical powhaz? sign us up for that.

HA! Good Fun!

LE Ranger/Wizard, Human. Favored enemy: Human. Maybe if I got to the epic levels, throw in a few lvls of thief/assasin. End up replacing Szass Tam and going to the planes to look for immortality or a pet modron/Fall from Grace as a mistress.

However I'd most likely be the bureaucratic know-it-all-foppish-prat.

In reality, I'd probably be a priest. Either that, or maybe a bard. No, wait, a bardic priest! That's it!

Probably end up being the sorceror of medium power who lives in a Tower with a full library and helps little children find their way home.

I Don't know what I'd want to be in life. well... other than a divine being who could squash somebody like say Saroun like a bug.

Well I'd like to be some kind of hard ass paladin type spreading the word of the lord while taking vengeance by busting in skulls of the godless heathens. But in reality I'd be a disgruntled cat man. But I don't mean cat man in the sense of being a feline humanoid but rather a deranged middle aged man who owns a lot of cats and travels in a broken down wagon spreading delicious candies and ice cream to all the childrens of the land. :bat:

Wish we had awesome cat icon back. :(

There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.

I would probably end up as a ranger (with a cat as my companion). I don't socialise well, I don't like urban areas and I don't like staying in the same place too long, preferring to see what is over the next hill. :bat:

I wanna be some kinda charismatic Arcane user that's cunning and heavy on the diplomacy, bluff and maybe intimidate. Maybe a sorc/rogue? I like to tease people and be mischievous, but am a nice guy so CG it is I guess.

Spreading beauty with my katana.

That's it! I'd probably be someone's animal companion! ...Or I'd be some Red Wizard of Thay's dung beetle familiar. I'd hate the guy, but what could I do? I'm a dung bettle.

I'd like to be a Librarian or Sage. Are they classes? I have quite a few Aldenon days as I get older.

In reality I think I would be a Giver of fed-ex quests, which if it's not a class, ought to be. I'd always have a million little things that need doing, and sufficient naivety to entrust them to any passing band of heavily-armed strangers.

Okay, I would LIKE to be a really badassed mage. I think I'd be a specialist mage who has mad skill ranks in Lore, Spellcraft, Concentration, and Diplomacy (cross-classed). I'd go for the Mind Over Body 1st level feat and then take metamagic and spellcasting feats the whole way, especially penetration feats at mid to higher levels.

What I'd probably REALLY end up being is a level 0 humanoid living in the Forgotten Realms somewhere and hating the fact that I was the only person in town not a level 50 Red Wizard of Thay or some such.

Do or do not: there is no try.

... and to answer the second question, as with any pre-modern society (not to mention a good deal of the modern ones), what I'd actually be would depend almost entirely on what my parents were. If they were illiterate peasant farmers or simple trades-people, I wouldn't have a whole lot of options.

OH. GREAT. Way to harsh my buzz, jerk. :Cant's wolfish grin icon:

While we're at it, one's alignment would be almost precisely a statistical correlation of one's parents'.

I'm down with the monomaniacal cleric, though I'd more likely be a monk ... though it would need to be a lapsed monk, as I'd be chaotic neutral.

I would like to have some magical powers: enough to allow me to descrive the universe, but not enough to attract the attention of passing bands of adventurers. I used to have a quasit for a familiar, which was pretty cool.
