Deraldin Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 LOL yea but i like just saying 12.4 inches cuz that's absurdly huge Seems like something you would buy. For the factor right? :D
Bokishi Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 You mean enough factor to make you feel inadequate in the bedroom? Current 3DMark
Deraldin Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 (edited) You mean enough factor to make you feel inadequate in the bedroom? I don't know if I would go quite that far, but it would make me curse your name for all eternity, or at least until I'm no longer known as Deraldin of the Damned System. Edited February 13, 2007 by Deraldin
DemonKing Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Jesus...wonder what the power supply requirments will be on this sucker (looks at 430W PSU sadly).
alanschu Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I wonder if it'd have it's own AC adapter plug in.
Bokishi Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 It uses one 6-pin and one 8-PIN http://overclockers.com/articles1411/ Current 3DMark
mkreku Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 This is what I am getting. This is why I paid a bundle of money for my specialized PSU. Now to sell my X1950XTX 512MB GDDR4.. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Deraldin Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Jesus...wonder what the power supply requirments will be on this sucker (looks at 430W PSU sadly). It says that it requires 270W for the OEM and 240W for the Retail. From what I've seen though apparently the 8800GTX was supposed to draw 220W but actually only drew 160W so we'll see what happens.
metadigital Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 240W? I can barely step that fast on a stepper in the gym! If they manage to migrate the GPU to a smaller die then it will draw less power ... OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Diamond Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 240W? I can barely step that fast on a stepper in the gym! If they manage to migrate the GPU to a smaller die then it will draw less power ... Maybe, but the fact still is... It uses one 6-pin and one 8-PIN
Sand Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Okaaaaaaaaay... Here I thought the size of the GeForce 8800 was ridiculous. Murphy's Law of Computer Gaming: The listed minimum specifications written on the box by the publisher are not the minimum specifications of the game set by the developer. @\NightandtheShape/@ - "Because you're a bizzare strange deranged human?" Tale Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I would have to gut and restructure my case to get a hope of... no wait, still wouldn't work. My 7900 barely fit in here. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Sand Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Here is a bit about the dual card. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=37631 I can imagine trying to fit one normal card in my computer let alone this one or even two for quad crossfire. mkreku Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I really REALLY hope the X2800XTX comes with a cooler like this: Best cooler design ever! Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Meshugger Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 (edited) It uses one 6-pin and one 8-PIN 8-pin? IIRC, there's no PSU on the market with an extra 8-pin Edited February 15, 2007 by Meshugger "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Tale Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 (edited) Judging by my 6-pin card, wouldn't you hook up 2 4-pins? That's how my 6-pin card works, 2 4-pins connect to it, with one of the pins on each missing. I had to buy two extra Y-cables. -.- Edited February 15, 2007 by Tale "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
taks Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 i can see a new form factor happening soon. it's getting to where you cannot fit your video card into a standard ATX case. grrr... i think they also need to come up with a standard for power, within the same region as the PCI-E connector. maybe like a piggy-back extension to the PCI-E bus connector. the inside of a case is getting hairy (of course, the switch to SATA has made some things easier). taks comrade taks... just because.
metadigital Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I would have to gut and restructure my case to get a hope of... no wait, still wouldn't work. My 7900 barely fit in here. Wait -- aren't you (partially) blind? OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
