Not sure, but I found I liked the music from the first game more. Don't remember why.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's all a matter of personal taste I guess. I personally liked the music in KotOR II more. The "Rebuilt Jedi Enclave" song from KotOR 2 is probably the best Star Wars song i've ever heard. And it's on repeat on WinAmp at the moment...
