Masta Revan Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Hey I'm getting a Mace Windu FX lightsaber and I need to know if there is a difference in the one you buy. See the thing is that I saw one for $59.00 and another costing $109.00, and $97.00,$ 80.00, and 139.00 WHAT IS THE BIG DIFFERENCE!? They all say FX and i know its smarter to get the cheap one but i just have to know whats going on here I pitty the fool who don't have the force.
Weiser_Cain Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I'd worry that the cheaper one is made of plastic instead of metal Yaw devs, Yaw!!! (
Masta Revan Posted December 20, 2006 Author Posted December 20, 2006 (edited) do they all say master replica cause the one that i saw on some sites say that. Also when I read the info on the saber it said the same thing as the $109.00 same # of Batteries and everything as if that part would matter but you get what I mean.thinkgeek.comspencersgifts.com Edited December 20, 2006 by Masta Revan I pitty the fool who don't have the force.
Darth Mortis Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Mace Mindu's lightsabre was meant to be made from Electrum-thats a mix of gold and silver in case anyone was wondering. I'm guessing that the more expensive of the two might have a hilt made from this, which would raise the price, while the cheaper one doesn't.
Sturm Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I would think not to waste one's money on such a thing and let star wars obsessions get too far
Weiser_Cain Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 I understood they were all chromed or other wise plated aluminum Yaw devs, Yaw!!! (
Masta Revan Posted December 25, 2006 Author Posted December 25, 2006 I would think not to waste one's money on such a thing and let star wars obsessions get too far <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah I know what ya mean....But thats why I'm happy I'm still young and not paying for it. Hahahaha.. I still have a few more months to be young. :joy: I pitty the fool who don't have the force.
Krookie Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 (edited) So why not get something a little more worthwhile? If you're getting older, you really shouldn't be pretending you have a real lightsaber and running around your house with a fake one. Edited December 25, 2006 by Krookie

If you're getting older, you really shouldn't be pretending you have a real lightsaber and running around your house with a fake one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And why not? I should, btw, have said that the more expensive hilt might have a coating of Electrum rather than being made entirely out of it.
DeathScepter Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 Sturm, It would be scary if some of the members here had real working lightsabers. Yes indeed it would be scary.
Dark_Raven Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 It would be fun. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
DeathScepter Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 It might be fun once I make an army of Dark Jedi and take over the world. But first I must invent lightsabers before dreams of galatic conquest can be fully realised. If Lightsabers were real, some noob would actually kick my ass because I was gloating over them or their dead friend.
DeathScepter Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 *passes Sturm an anti newbie lightsaber* Psst, this does more damage to Newbies than normal people.
Purgatorio Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 ^Rofl! I would go with the one from Thinkgeek, because the Spencer's Gifts one is sold out. Odd that Spencer's Gifts said "Online Exclusive" S.A.S.I.S.P.G.M.D.G.S.M.B.
DarthCamel Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 I wish I could get a FX lightsaber. I'm too poor because of the holidays unfortunately.

DarthCamel Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Seef, you get more money on teh hols lawl. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's only when you get money as a gift. I didn't this year. There's always next year!

Masta Revan Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 I finally got the Mace Windu lightsaber! Its pretty cool and its something that a star wars fan would love. Also I noticed that it doesn't matter which one you get they are all the same and your just lucky if you find a cheap one. I bought mine for $67 and it looks, feels just as nice as all the others and its really heavy too. I really like the Mace Windu hilt it has a good grip on it. I pitty the fool who don't have the force.
