It's sad that the second game wasn't as awesome, and 3D Realms can't keep its **** together. I guess MP is a dead property now?

I haven't played the first Max Payne, but the sequel was bonza.

 

I'd be surprised if they just let a good franchise die, 3dRealms are probably just waiting for the release of Duke Nukem Forever so that they can concentrate on the third game. "

Remedy Entertainment is hard at work on Alan Wake. When they're done with that, maybe they'll develop another Max Payne. One can only hope.

 

3D Realms had something to do with the Payne's, but I am not sure what. I think they helped Remedy somehow.

Half-Life had Gordon captured and stripped of all his equipment, then tossed in a (SW hommage?) garbage compactor.

Yes. It's a shame Obsidian neglected one of the greatest Jedi skillz ever: Force Kick. And it's canon too!

 

 

I highly recommend the Alien Quadrilogy DVD set if you really want to know the Alien Universe from the movie franchise direction.  It is the most organized edition of the movies to date, even if you may not care for the third and fourth films.  It

Alien 3 is underrated. And I'm not sure if the extra content is the same, either.

As I said the last 2 movies are not high on my list of favored Alien movies, and thanks guys for your vote of confidence I appreciate it. The quadrilogy equals out with 9 disks, every odd number disk (except for the ninth one) includes movie with, the special edition version and the original theatrical version. The even disks have a nice organize versions of what happen during pre-production, production, and post-production for every movie. The ninth disk has a DVD ROM feature of all 4 scripts, and some other things. Going back to why I recommend even because, (even though it also has the lack luster 3 and 4 films) of the way they came together as in film process. For instance I never knew that Alien 3 would have been so much different if the director, Vincent Ward went with his idea with the movie (producers shut that one down). Furthermore I found out why David Fincher had such a hard time directing the movie that was being written as they worked.

 

Anyways I really recommend to those looking for the full experience of the Alien movie franchise. However if you really want to ditch the idea of film making process and do not have the curiosity of what went wrong in 3 & 4; I don

Given NWN2, probably when Sega decides that they don't want to make their own forum. They might want to. They could put up a forum that encompasses both the Gearbox and Obsidian games.

I guess Obsidian are just hired guns compared to Sega, and thats why sega get it the way they want it.

"Valid" as in "not mathematically impossible", yes.

 

However, Isn't it a bit early for doom and gloom yet?

 

I guess it's within the realm of possibility that OE is pressured into putting out an unfinished game, but does Sega really need the cash that badly? And, at any rate, OE is now a stronger company than it was when they agreed to LA's conditions for K2. Doesn't it make sense that they have learned something from that?

in my experience, being an "official" game forum site is not always a good thing for a community.

 

for example: the elder scrolls forums.
