XoXAlexOxO Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 (edited) im kinda looking for something else since i can't seem to logon silkroad anymore . also, could yall say if it's free or not, i'm on a budget Edited November 3, 2006 by XoXAlexOxO
Gorgon Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 (edited) I just bought the new guildwars chapter, but I have to say I don't like it that much so far. In order to make money for the new gear you have to stand around and trade spam on every streetcorner for hours on end since there is no auction house and the difference between merchant prices and actual worth is often astronomical. The new chapter also introduced hero followers, which are followers you level up and customise yourself, and since then it's been impossible to find other players for instances because noone needs it anymore. Edited November 3, 2006 by Gorgon Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.

LadyCrimson Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Hero followers? Better than the old party-helpers because they're customizable - can you keep them from play session to session? I might like that, since I'm a loner even in on-line play... But I haven't really been playing any on-line games recently. I did reinstall WoW but haven't done much with it. I think right now the only on-line "action" I may see is competing with other city builders for scores and titles in C4. “Things are as they are. LadyCrimson Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Caesar4, city builder/strategy. I need to get out of the habit of abbreviating it on non-Casear4 forums. heh “Things are as they are. Darque Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Nexus War. Text and icon based, but also free and fun.
Nartwak Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 (edited) Nexus War is great, but it's not something you can sit down and play for an extended time. Edited November 3, 2006 by Nartwak

thepixiesrock Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I'm actually a little shocked by the response to this thread from the community here, but it's still in it's infancy. Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.

Kaftan Barlast Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 since Ive already said it.. Ill just copy&paste The hypothesis of Kaftan: You cant have a story where the protagonists outnumber every villain and supporting act by 100:1 You cant change a world that has to appear the same to a million players Without a story or a world they can change, the player is stuck with performing trivial tasks that have no effect on the world around them. Morgoth Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 I once tried out the WoW 14-day trial. The gameplay was banal, the look girlish, so I quit. So much for teh bEstest MMORPG of all times. Pfft. Rain makes everything better.
Noceur Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 (edited) Got bored with WoW real fast. I've got CoH/CoV now, but I haven't played in a while (since I got bored with it). EDIT: I agree with Kaftan. I think this is why I get bored. The fun part is hack'n'slashin' with buddies, but you can only take a certain amount of that. I'll prolly come back to CoH eventually though, but I do get fed up with the grinding real fast. Edited November 3, 2006 by Noceur
