October 27, 200619 yr Good stuff! Some errors; but that's ok. Edited October 27, 200619 yr by Volourn DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
October 27, 200619 yr Not bad, not bad.... The NWN1 toolset bored the hell out of me, but this one seems to be interesting. The more customization, the better. I hope I also have a lot of control for my own art assets (Maya support would be sweet). In that case I could "just" export my cool futuristic airport I've designed within Maya and then fill it with trees and dwarfs! Trees and dwarfs in teh airport! I know this module would be an instant classic! Rain makes everything better.
October 29, 200619 yr Good preview. I'm definitively checking out the toolset once I'm done with the OC. BTW, rumors are that the DM Client might be released on Tuesday, along with the first patch. Link
October 30, 200619 yr Author AFAIK the DMC is still being released for download oct 31/nov 1 If not they are going to have a riot on their hands... :)/ Admin of World of Darkness Online News News/Community site for the WoD MMORPG http://www.wodonlinenews.net --- Jericho sassed me so I broke into his house and stabbed him to death in his sleep. October 30, 200619 yr Yup should be out on launch day, along with the new druid spells. JE posted on the Something Awful forums that the new spells are all quite uber. The best flash game ever!
October 30, 200619 yr Dang, if only I liked hugging trees! OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
October 30, 200619 yr Yup should be out on launch day, along with the new druid spells. JE posted on the Something Awful forums that the new spells are all quite uber. I wouldn't go that far, but I think they are all useful and generally cool. twitter tyme
October 31, 200619 yr Druids suck. Additions spells should have been given to a more worthy spellcasting class. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
October 31, 200619 yr Spellcasting classes that already have a deluge of good spells don't need more good spells. twitter tyme
October 31, 200619 yr But more the merrier right? Bards and mages can always benefit with additional spells. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
October 31, 200619 yr "Spellcasting classes that already have a deluge of good spells don't need more good spells." Druids already had a bunch of good spells. And, a few of the spells apparantly added in the patch (according to NW Vault) sound pretty uber. A level 6 spell level giving +9 ac? A level 1 spell making you immune to knockdown/trip (it has asetback but lowering movement is not that impressive, imo, unless it's REALLY lowered). A spell that makes them immune to missles, hastes them, and incrases attack damage? Wow! Even at level 8, that's pretty powerful. The other spells seem pretty reasonable. Natural Spell is a solid addition. The DMC being in is cool though. Can't wait until the expansion so it can be solidified on the CD. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
October 31, 200619 yr Is this more love than the druid can handle? Natural Spell is indeed a great addition and the new spells all sound very useful. Even if it overpowers the druid a little, I'd still rather it was them than another class. The best flash game ever!
October 31, 200619 yr But more the merrier right? Bards and mages can always benefit with additional spells. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know who deserves more enmity, the Druid or the Bard ... OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
November 1, 200619 yr Bards are far superior to tree huggers. They have mages spells and the ability to use some thief skills. They are good with weapons and able to use decent armor. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
November 1, 200619 yr Bards can heal too. That being said, Druids crush Bards. Shapechanging, solid spell selection, decent armor, powerful pets. though I'm not sure how much of that translates into NWN2.
November 1, 200619 yr Depends on how they balanced the game. Seems to me like most of the classes in NWN were "de-edged" so as to not make them reasonably equal (arcane spellcasters remained weak at early levels, still) but I remember LN monk-druids being pretty potent. The animal companions got less powerful as time went on. Their AC didn't go up fast enough, such that high level enemies could easily whack them before they became useful <_< Shapechanging could be pretty uber, though. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
November 1, 200619 yr That's true. Based on the manual someone posted a bit ago, I'm thinking they were all watered down a bit. Of course, they were in NWN the first as well.
