Amentep Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 I always wanted to try out a Toreador since they had a good selection of disciplines but I can never get past the fact that the male Toreador looks like one giant poof. Damn shame that Bloodlines didn't include more character models. Change the character model for the Toreador to one of the in game models. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
Darque Posted January 22, 2007 Author Posted January 22, 2007 FEEmaIl MAlkaVIaN! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, you too can play as Sand and get owninated by the werewolf.
Dark_Raven Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Malkavain females rule. The male one with the Dennis Rodman outfit looks freaky. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
jaguars4ever Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Malkavain females rule. The male one with the Dennis Rodman outfit looks freaky. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I know. And if you spin her really fast during character creation, her boobies jiggle. ^_^ BTW Gabs, have you enabled your player histories? Because it's like teh awesome!
CoM_Solaufein Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 The female Malkavian does indeed have a bounce to her. ^_^ War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is StrengthBaldur's Gate moddingTeamBGBaldur's Gate modder/community leaderBaldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition beta testerBaldur's Gate 2 - Enhanced Edition beta tester Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition beta tester
Amentep Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Several of the skins appear to have bounce, while others don't. Wonder what determined that...? Funniest one was probably watching the opening with one of the stripper skins because it had such a completely incredibly unconvincing mega-bounce as the character walked behind the Prince as to be comedic. Amentep Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I wouldn't say its a fixation; I just can't figure out why they decided to have some models jiggle and others not to. I cannot - yet I must. Tale Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I wouldn't say its a fixation; I just can't figure out why they decided to have some models jiggle and others not to. Because Malkavians are wacky. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Amentep Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 That may be, but it still seems odd to me... I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

It seems this latest observation throws a monkey wrench into the boobies. You see, upon conducting the Malky-Spinny-Boobie-Jiggly Experiment it's imperative to note that as her skirt flings up, she's wearing...a thong! In itself this isn't unusual, except that if she would remember to wear a thong, then what possible source of Cainite fury could possess to forget her bra? ... ... ... It's a conspiracy!
Tel Aviv Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Maybe she finds bras constricting, seeking instead a free and easy alternative.
Amentep Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I wouldn't say its a fixation; I just can't figure out why they decided to have some models jiggle and others not to. Obviously because the ones that have a jiggle to them are not wearing a bra?? I not 100% convinced this is the case; first off in real life, breasts still have some movement even in a bra. Having tried out a fair number of the different models in the game, and a number of those have a bounce that is consistant with being in a bra AFAIK (ie theres a bit of bounce across the top to indicate breast movement while "restrained" in the bra). I can't remember all of the ones that fit this, but Therese has some bounce, but is clearly supposed to be wearing a bra and one of the Chinatown models as well. This is also born out by looking at the odd way certain models deform under the "money x" code. The ones that don't change at all under this code are the breasts that don't move at all. Amid those that do respond to the money x code, the level of "bounce" is different as well; the malkavian and Rosa has a bit of "swing" and bounce, some (like one of the Chinatown models I mentioned earlier) has just a minor bit of bounce, one of the "stripper" models rolls around like a pair of loose cumquats and so on. So it raises the question why some are bouncy and others aren't. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? CoM_Solaufein Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Malkavians are odd. Yes they are that. The one I am playing right now is a little bit on the psychotic side. She's already lost some humanity points by draining a couple of people dry. Ops! I am debating whether to make her a melee specialist or a firearms expert. War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is StrengthBaldur's Gate moddingTeamBGBaldur's Gate modder/community leaderBaldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition beta testerBaldur's Gate 2 - Enhanced Edition beta tester Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition beta tester
Dark_Raven Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Melee FTW! Most of the fighting is done face to face, making the use of ranged weapons limited. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Sand Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I had celerity maxed out with a melee specialist. OH MY GAWD! It was messed in the head. Dark_Raven Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Especially if you're Malkavian. Doubly messed in the head. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
alanschu Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 (edited) I love my Killmatic. I only use melee at the beginning of the game when my firearms skill sucks, and the overpowered Blood Buff skill makes up for my melee deficiencies. Edited February 16, 2007 by alanschu
Dark_Raven Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Firearms are good towards the end, especially against that bat thing you have to fight. I'll have a few points in firearms but my main speciality is melee. Killa Katana! Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
alanschu Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I do still use the Katana at times towards the end of the game, such as in the Hallowbrook Hotel. Mostly because of the ability to stealth kill.
Spider Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Toreador + Auspex + Celerity + any weapon that allows for headshots = wicked sniping
