Why don't you shut the crap up?

I'd rather drive over you with Tiger Tanks!

The joke is that you're driving your FACE over with Tiger tanks.

The other joke is that my version is obsolete, so I need to redownload the 1.61 GB file.

But after that, I'm running you over with Tiger Tanks.

How was the beta, anyway? Is it basically Dawn of War with a new coat of paint?

I never played Dawn of War.

I enjoyed it. Though it's certainly a much faster pace than Combat Mission or Close Combat.

I was usually playing against better players though, so it made it a bit less fun. Though somehow I still managed to usually "win" in the amount of kills that I can get in the 4 player games (2vs2).

Rockets are a bit too useful IMO. I made a wonderful flank with a Panther behind 3 rocket trucks, and they just turned their rockets and fired some close range salvos at me and killed me. I was swearing.

Is it somewhat realistic or just "spam the enemy with units til he dies" ?

I'm guessing the second one.

Yeah, that's what it sounds like. I don't think the game is really trying to break away from the conventional RTS mold in significant ways.

But is it fun?

If it's multiplayer, it's fun by default.

I just want to blow up buildings.

Let's all download and kick each other's ass :)

OK!

But the fileplanet description only blabs on about the singleplayer campaign. Lyrn, Alan - does the beta have any MP support?

.... The file is 'Multiplayer-Beta-Client'.

Oh that file! Of course that one is! :)"

It is fun. If 4 of us wanted to game, it'd be interesting. Much more fun when we can all laugh at my mistakes.

It's the thing to do!

  • Author

Only if by laugh, you mean murder.

Hadescopy.jpg

Well, laughing typically comes immediately after murder.

  • Author

Wait, this game plays exactly like Dawn of War.

That doesn't surprise me. You alluded to it many moons ago.
