Crazy weapon design is something I missed in many FPS. The usual pistol-shotgun-M16-grenade launcher configuration just got boring. I'm happy that Bioshock is going to be more creative in that way....

By intended I mean intended as a primary audience, not exclusive audience.

It's etymology is that the word started with the iPod revolution; it has since expanded to describe all such narrowcasts (which was the previous name for them, though this didn't require a separate item of hardware: one just listened on the PC).

Before I spend time checking the thing, do these things include gameplay?

It's an mp3 file, so not a lot. You can hear Levine talking about gameplay, though. Also, he talks about game marketing and designing in general.

Very interesting interview.

 

Am just wondering why that guy can come up with so bold concepts and gets support from the publisher, while something like Van Buren or Jefferson got raped and destroyed....

Now i truly belive Bioshock will be a great game but it will have ONE MAJOR THING AGAINST IT.

Any way i Like the Style of the Game.

 

The Art Deco style, The underwater setting and lighting is a great atmosphere maker.

My sole concern is that it is being developed with the console as the primary consideration. The footage I've seen from the game shows a HUD that clearly corresponds with the XBox controller.

 

Now, whether this will be bad for the PC version or not is unseen, but I feel the need to be wary. Hopefully the PC version will be fully realized for the PC's abilities (including the full keyboard) and not merely a port of the 360 version.

As you say, it's far too early to tell. A console's controller is not a bad thing, in and of itself; it's only if the developers haven't done any bespoke PC development that the game will suffer.

Can I play as a female in Bioshock?  I don't play games that don't give me the option of playing as a female because I find it insulting on a personal level to be forced to put myself in the role of a man.
