Hades has, in fact, been a Microsoft plant since the Black Isle days. It's all part of Bill Gates' insidious plan to get all hardcore RPG gamers to use Windows Vista.

I would like to note that if you take The h and the d from Hades and put a g and a t instead you'll get the word Gates. Now, what does that tell you?

I remember me and Ender bashing Vista because of cruddy OpenGl support, but what game uses openGL now? :)

Anything Carmack related it seems.

I know NWN was OpenGL. Though I believe Carmack himself is impressed with the improvements DirectX had made.

Especially since all the games that look better than Doom 3 now use it :)

Hehehe.

As long as they don't think about charging for it like the initially were doing with Direct3D, I won't care a whole lot. If they do, I wouldn't be surprised to see Doom take off.

A real advantage of OpenGL though is that other operating systems support it.
