Want one so bad.

Too much to spend on what would essentially be used as a fancy toy, especially one that small and loseable. :(

Lookit what it can do though!

  • Green dot visible

  • Beam visible with smoke or fog in lighted areas

  • Beam visible at night

  • Beam visible without smoke or fog in lighted areas

  • Make holes in black trash bags

  • Open-cut healing power

  • Cut black electrical tape

  • Ignite wooden or paper matches

  • Pop dark colored balloons

  • Melt Plastic

  • Light Cigars and Cigarettes

I wonder if it can burn human flesh. ^_^

Or you could just buy a regular one and use the $990 you save to buy a zippo lighter if you're so keen on burning stuff.

Yeah but it's not as cool as burning stuff with a frikkin' laser.

I'm just sayin' is all.

Also you can't hypothetically burn your friend's neck from across the room with a Zippo. :("

"My application for a 15mW green laser is to point out astronomical objects in the night sky"

It can bounce light off stars? Holy shlamolie...

Sounds like a great way to blind someone. Er. Wait. I don't want to blind anyone.

The beams show up in the dark so it doesn't have to bounce off the stars. Silly Wals.

And it is a good way to blind someone, I think I read on teh forums that the flash blind distance for the lower powered Spyders (200mW) is around 300 meters (tested with a camera). Gnarly stuff.

I don't think they can burn people

if they can, and you just multiply that in size, we have Death Star technology!

....mmmm.....moment of triumph.....

It's the same pioneering technology they use to laser the flesh off womans' breasts to insert implants without leaving scars. Believe me it can and will easily burn people. Enjoy... I guess.

Pack sand noob! That trinket is only 4/10ths of a watt. If you ever want to run with the big boys you'll consider this item at half the price and it emits 20-30 full watts of cutting power! :) And...it's invisible so there's no trail to lead the nosy-assed police back to whoever created that 'stylin' new tatoo on Gov. Swartz  .
