WILL THE ALMIGHTY
USA obviously has the best army. but other countries are getting good too... china, right? or am i lost in foreign news again? no wait, i change my answer: QUEBEC HAS THE BEST ARMY! "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
metadigital
i think you are all forgetting that maintaining an armed force is expensive; at least in an actual conflict all the old munitions can be rotated out for use ... Atreides
By now the US has one of the best technologically equipped military and soldiers with real combat experience. Spreading beauty with my katana.
LoneWolf16
...Driving into combat zones without the benefit of armored vehicles, or body armor. You never, ever, ever send your soldiers in without the basic personal protection they need. I mean, parents were buying their kids body armor for freakin' christmas! Walsingham
If it were me, I'd rather lose the weight and stick to a light flak vest and helmet. I'd rather be able to move and fight than stand and take it. Or at least use teh weight for water, food, and ammo. But that's just me. "It wasn't lies. And columns move pretty damned slowly down city streets...or hell, just guarding check points. It doesn't help to be mobile when you're guarding your post and hear that first sniper round off in the distance...you're as good as dead without some sort of protection if you're the target that time. Lucius
If those were my guys, I'd have them equipped with so much ****ing armour, that when hit, they'd merely grunt, take a step back, and flip off whatever rebel **** who fired at him.
