Personally, I believe Windu could have easily destroyed Anakin as well as Sidious had he not placed his trust in Anakin's loyalty to the Jedi. The desire to trust is a major weakness of most Jedi attempting to uphold the Light Side of the Force. Anakin was in an extreme state of confusion and doubt at the time. He was fickle and oversensitive. Additionally, Mace Windu was an exceedingly experienced Swordsman and Master of the Force. As for Palpatine, in my view he was, through undefined fortune, an overrated Charlatan with Force Abilities. Mace should have finished Palpatine when he had the chance, just before Anakin entered the room.

Sidious SUCKS!!! Windu unlucky Jedi + Anakin idiot = Sidious still alive... until Luke comes around

It's hard to tell. Although Luke clearly called for justice from Palpatine's white lightning attack in ROTJ, Anakin willed himself to toss Palpatine into Death Star ventilation chasm.

I mean, 21 pages of whining about who is teh strongest jedi (sith) evah, and half of the comments are like "OMGZ Revan is teh most pwrful" is so geek, that it is disgusting really.

Seeing the same thing gets old after a while.
