I recall on the ol' Interplay site there was a section that allowed users to download the soundtracks to quite a few of their games. Who all owns the music now?

Stand Your Convictions and You Will Walk Alone.

Not interplay apparently.

I don't think there's any legal way to get them now short of buying the soundtrack CD second hand.

We now bring you live footage from the World Championship Staring Final.

That's unfortunate for me, heh.

Stand Your Convictions and You Will Walk Alone.

Not if you had a good internet connection and knew someone with it.

I'd like to help you out, but I never bothered to download more than a few tracks. (if I recall correctly)

I own the games, I should just fine a way to do some file conversions. I'm not sure how legal it actually is to download them from an unofficial source, so I shall refrain from it. Hopefully someone will have an official say in it. If not... *shrugs* I hope for NWN2 to have a good OST. Heh heh.

oh, no, I wasn't suggesting torrents or something like that.

I meant someone who had downloaded the full file set from Interplay could send them to you.

That'd be legal right?

If you want to rip the game tracks you'll need an acm to wav converter, there's at least one out there. All the battle tracks are split into about 4 to 8 bars long to allow dynamic playback, so you have to use something like good old sound recorder to string them back together. Personally if you have the time this is the best option, as you can compose the tracks to your taste.

There are none that are right, only strong of opinion. There are none that are wrong, only ignorant of facts

Picking up on what Moose suggested. Just get a wave recorder running and set the sound recording option to record "what you hear" and then start playing. You'll get some memorable soundtracks (with swords ands battlecries) that'll shed a tear to your eye everytime you listen to i...

NWN2 better freaking have the best bloody soundtrack ever, with a larger variety of tracks. I don't want to have to choose between crap in setting up music in my mod.
