April 9, 200619 yr I dont care if I get it or not, Ill gladly jump at any chance I get to spew forth bitter complaints When I read the thread title the first band to come to mind was U2... which wasn't on that list. I totally agree with Audioslave and Coldplay though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was so sure U2 would number one on that list... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The thing with U2 is that theyre not even worth complaining about. Theyre the kind of band that people who dont really like music listen to. April 9, 200619 yr Over-rated. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh, most of those bands aren't rated enough to pass the "over-rated" barrier "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy

April 9, 200619 yr Do critics actually rave about dweebs like Nickelback? Anyway, Radiohead and The Mars Volta, I suppose those are the most over-rated bands of our time. And I really do hate pointing this out, but one doesn't have to be a professional critic to rate(under or over, depending on personal preference) a certain something. We do it all the time. Now, of course, one can always claim something to be overrated from a particular point of view or cultural perspective. Take the music snobs (and I mean that as a compliment) on these boards, the Pixies are clearly overrated among the members of this peculiar circle, obviously from my personal perspective.
