I really hate when an explaination begins with 'love it or hate it'. The answer I would say, considering what I have read and seen about GalCivII, is no, Llyranor. It's a really good 4x.

I need a really good 4x game ;)

 

Since MOO3 I haven't been able to even look at the genre. <_<
