I'd also recommend Joss Wheaton (he did Astonishing Xmen for the first year), Judd Winnick, and Gail Simone (who also plays city of hero's in the Pinnacle RP Congress if you care about that game) Almost forgot Mark Waid (JLA year One), Bindis (Currently doing new avengers, and Ultimate Spiderman), Kurt Busheik(Marvels, Liberty Project, and Conan are His comics), and Troy Hickman (Common Grounds, and He did some work on City of Hero's own comic which you can pick up in PDF format at the website.) He did Transmetropolitan, Planetary, The Authority, I believe he's still doing Ultimate Fantastic Four and the various Ultimate crossovers like Ultimate Nightmare and Ultimate Extinction. He's also doing Fell, Desolation Jones, and Blackgas, which I haven't read (though he did send me the script for Fell #1 4 months before it hit stands and it was good), but are getting rave reviews. Artists... I'm more a fan of the stylistic guys like Humberto Ramos, Chris Bachalo, and Kaare Andrews. Though Bryan Hitch and the Kuberts are good. Stay away from Frank Quitely. That guy is garbage. But it seems that the older he gets the more powers he grows into of supermans. this is probably because superman is literally solar powered. the more sunlight the more power he's got.
