No One Lives Forver 1 and 2

KoTOR 1 and 2

 

Any games out right now that are any good? I mainly look for a good story in a game.

And while it depends on what you look for in your RTSs, Dawn of War pretty much destroys Warcraft 3 in my opinion, try the demo, as far as story goes though, haha, don't bother.

BTW, NWN is really good software. Yes, NWN is a software which is created for gaming. Go and buy it.

I mean to call NWN as a "Game" is not sufficient. It is more than that.

Yeah, NWN wouldn't even be half the game if not for the kickbutt toolset.

Whats NWN like? I've never played it, what type of game, good story? Tell me a bit about it.

Singleplayer = Diabloesque version of D&D.

Multiplayer = Whatever module or persistent world creators want.

Does it have a good story also? Is it better then Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War?

NWN = Best game evar.

 

NWN OC's story is good. Not great; but good. Haven't played that Warhammer game so can't compare.

 

It's story is better than games like IWD2 and TOEE; but not as good as either KOTOR.

I wouldn't really say that Dawn of War had a good story though. It was kinda mediocre, although I like the setting.

 

The NWN story is about the same as the one in DoW on more levels than one. It does drag out a lot more though.

 

I think IWD2 has a better story than either though.

 

This is only for the NWN original campaign. The expansions (especially HotU) is a different beast altogether.

Don't listen to the extremists. The OC's story is nowhere as bad as some like to claim. It's your typical fantasy story more or less. If you expect more than you'll be disspaointed. If you expect a good story with some very good side quests, some decent joinable npcs (though lame way of doing their silly quests), and various ways to do side quests (but the main quest does lack chocie though it has maybe one or two choices); you'll be alright.

 

SOU is worse than the OC. And, HOTU is better and is about on par with either KOTOR.

Volourn sure is in love with NWN.

 

I suppose the OC can be considered good if your a fan of typical generic fantasy storylines.

So how old is this game?

3 to 4 years.
