The train wreck that is the 360 Japan Launch continues. Unloved 360s consoles collect dust, and retailers are unable to return those unwanted Xbox 360s to Msoft due to contractual obligations. To cut loses and cover their arses, stores are left with no choice but to offer discounts. The originally 38,800yen (about $350 US) consoles have been lowered to 18,800yen (about $150 US) with Internet Service Provider contracts so that the shop could get some kickback money from the IP. And this is what, four days from launch?

This is not a surpise. Launch titles are not suitable for Japanese crowd. I can't imagine a japanese boy, who is playin' Call of Duty 2.

Ah, this gives the Nintendo fanboy in me a warm and fuzzy feeling. :ermm:

As Hades so eloquently put it, DIE MICROSHAFT DIE! :D

Hawk! Eggplant! AWAKEN!

Well, considering the launch-titles, it's no suprise:

- Perfect Dark: Zero

- Fifa 2006

- Need for Speed: Most Wanted

- Ridge Racer 6

- Tetris: The Grandmaster Ace

- Everyparty (Japan Only)

I fail to see any japanese kid going "oooh" and "aaah" over that list.

I'm sure this is going just as expected....

....right Epiphany?  :p"

Epiphany has migrated to the Bioware-forums. Or atleast at the Mass Effect forums.

I think Microsoft should focus on U.S. and Europe markets as soon as possible. Hey, who cares about Enchant Arm or Blue Dragon... Give us some western rpg's.. :D :D

Good for him. I still don't know why people are getting so hung up about X Box 1.5. Overall the system is not all that great, the games aren't that much better, and it has more problems than it is worth. I still don't see any reason to buy it.

Enchanted Arm might interest the japanese....but it's released later in 2006 (Q2 IIRC).

Because Frodo told you to on MTV :ermm:

At least I figure that'd be Epiphany's sales pitch :p

Yes, I am enjoying this far too much (w00t)

Frodo was paid some gree to tell me so on MTV. Personally I don't listen to celebrities. If they are trying to convince me of something that means someone paid them to convince me of something and I rather those people try to convince me themselves otherwise they are cowards who can't step up to the plate.

Oh, no they shouldnt! Keep CRPG's on the PC thankyou. Consoles are for console games.

What Microsoft should do is focus on PC gaming.  Get out of the kiddie console market and focus on giving us a high quality PC products and games.

Hey, don't you love Pokemon titles?

I can live with that as well.  I mean, you find a niche that cannot be done without and to produce the best product possible to fill that niche.

Exactly.

They need to stop this "borg" treatment of everything computerized.

I know one thing. I won't buy a PS3 at launch. I played western games, i am playing western games and gonna play western games. (Well, there are some exceptions i think :D)

There are none that are right, only strong of opinion. There are none that are wrong, only ignorant of facts
