Lets see, a turtle infiltrates a deep bunker in Afghanistan and places a bomb in their headquarters. I would guess that might take about 10 days for the turtle to make the mission starting at the cave entrance. And I don't think anyone would notice the turtle either. Sounds like a great plan. I did read it, its just this bit that made me think that:

The device sent vibrations through the shell to the turtle which could be trained to change direction.
