I am having problems with my kotor 2, when I start it up after a few seconds it gives me a error one of those send error report dont send kinds, the computer I am using is crappy only has like 533 mhz but I play Splinter Cell Pandora Tommrow and Chaos Theory (Whoose specs are sort of alike) so I really doubt that is the problem

Firstly, I know i always say this, but have you tried downloading the patch for K2 yet?

 

Also, try downloading the latest drivers for your video card if you haven't already done so, as i have had problems similar to that which have been fixed simply by downloading drivers .

Your computer is definitely under-spec but I suppose in those cases it should only just lag like crap rather than crash.

 

Try through the config file, disabling movies, forcing software sound (just to see if there's a sound card problem) and turning off the advanced video features like Anistro and V-Sync.

 

Oh yeh, try the patch if u haven't yet.

I have, but all it tells me is that it has crashed...do you have another computer to try it on? or a friend within walking distance who can loan you a graphics card just to swap and check?

Well I could try to do that latter on but my Card is pretty new just bought it in December

You on the other hand should get the sense to use jpeg instead of bitmaps when uploading, otherwise it'll take ages to load for people with bad connections. Actually, most won't even bother to click if the format is .bmp.

Well, what file(s) are involved in the crash? And do you got something nasty running in the background? Does it crash right away or do see the launcher first(Game, Update, etc)? Are you underspec on system memory and diskspace, swap size etc too?

Now look, kiddo. Considering how long this topic has been here with relatively no answers, there propably isn't any. I doubt you're going to get much help from these forums, so I suggest that you hightail it to either Holowan Labs or perhaps LucasArts. There's people on both who just about live for the purpose of modding and augmenting KotOR, so there's a prety big chance that someone there knows a remedy to your problems.

And they fought on using only words and intelligence

as weapons. This surely would be one of the great battles

in internets forever to be remembered.
