Hurlshort Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Cincy should handle the Bears pretty easily, they've played tough D lately. Only upset I see is Miami over Carolina. I don't see Carolina bringing the intensity they brought to the Patriots. I want Buffalo to win also, but that will only happen if Vick is killed.
kumquatq3 Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 Cincy should handle the Bears pretty easily, they've played tough D lately. Against who? Culpepper, who has thrown 8 inters and no touchdowns, or maybe Trent Dilfer? Both teams had little to no running game. Regardless, the Bears have given up a total of 15 point is 2 games, the Bengals have given up 21 points. I do believe Cincy has the edge, but this is a home game for Chicago. The winning team, unless it's a very ugly game (which I figure Bengals have the edge on, better Home Run ability to be able to get at least one in the end-zone), does 2 things: Runs the ball effectively and stops the run. or the Bears can cloths-line Palmer "

kumquatq3 Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 I am very nervous about my Chargers pick, btw, so I can easily see taking the giants. and nobody likes the Pats so far huh? No respect

kumquatq3 Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 ...Cincinnati has been putting up 21 points or more on top ten defenses with ease. It should be no different on Sunday. Btw, good luck on Sunday kumquatq3. It should be a good game. Thanks, I appreci.....wait a minute..... Anyways, I hope I win, so I can taunt you guys

kumquatq3 Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 I just noticed that there is heavy rain and high winds in the forecast in Chicago for Sunday.
EnderAndrew Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Overall I really like kumquatq3's picks so I'm largely sticking with them. Cincinnati at Chicago: Chicago (Da Bears!) Cincinnati is overrated from playing 2 weak teams. Chicago is the real deal. Tampa Bay at Green Bay: Green Bay Farve responds to extreme emotion with incredible games. Cleveland at Indianapolis: Indy Cleveland's defense isn't good enough to make up for a poor defense. Trent Dilfer will come back down to Earth, and Peyton will return to form. Tennessee at St. Louis: Tennessee This is a coin flip if you ask me, so I'm going with the better coached team. New Orleans at Minnesota: N.O. Minny is stinking it up and N.O. is better than advertised. Atlanta at Buffalo: Atlanta Atlanta is poised for an offensive breakout and Buffalo is poised for failure. Carolina at Miami: Carolina Saban has done a good job with Miami so far but Carolina gets it done. Jacksonville at NY Jets: Jacksonville If Pennington were healthy... but he's not. Oakland at Philadelphia: Philadelphia This is still basically the same team that almost won the Super Bowl with Donovan McNabb sick and playing a really unusually bad game. Dallas at San Francisco: Dallas Dallas self destructed, but San Fran is worse. Arizona at Seattle: Seattle Again, two teams who want to self destruct. New England at Pittsburgh: New England I like Pittsburgh better, but NE is coming off that loss, and they just don't lose two in a row. Maybe this will be a reverse of last year, and Pittsburgh can get it done in the playoffs. NY Giants at San Diego: Chargers The Chargers offense has to reemerge eventually. Kansas City at Denver: Kansas City I like the Broncos, and I think they've got pure talent on offense. Kansas City is less likely to self-destruct however. Denver looked flat-out horrible in Week 1.
Ewen Brown Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 bears bucs colts titans sota falcons miami jets philly dallas cards (i nedd to make sure i get one wrong or it looks like i'm cheating) pats giants kc Winterwind
EnderAndrew Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 I'm shocked so many people are picking Miami over Carolina. Two years ago this was a Super Bowl team, and last year they were RIDDLED with injuries. They just throttled the best team in the league. Miami was one of the worst teams in the league last year and marginally improved. Who does Miami have throwing the ball?
kumquatq3 Posted September 25, 2005 Author Posted September 25, 2005 Miami 14 Carolona 3 Titans 10 Rams 0 N.O. 0 Minnesota 17 wtf

kumquatq3 Posted September 26, 2005 Author Posted September 26, 2005 Miami 27 Carolona 24 - show we know not what we're talking about not doing so bad so far <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm 8 for 12, which frankly, isn't great. If I win out I'll be 10 for 14. I missed my carolina and steelers picks both by 3 points :"> No one meantion the bears
Laozi Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 (edited) So, how 'bout the Bears. I guess Cinci is kind of supergood and stuff btw. The Eagles did a pretty good job today. Edited September 26, 2005 by Laozi People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
