October 2, 200520 yr I've run around a bit in DoD source and I think I may be a bit too used to LDR - I find the patches of "overexposed" light kind of distracting, and the eye adjustment effect feels pretty much like lens flare 2.0 (as in, a minor affectation).
October 2, 200520 yr Yeah, it's hard to get too excited about a technology to penalize gameplay ... but I am confident it will add more (realism) than it loses (line of sight). I have just been overclocking my processor, and added Catalyst 5.9 Omega drivers, and Half-Life: Source looks almost as good as Half-Life 2 ... November 11, 200520 yr ShacknewsHalf-Life2.net reports that Valve's first expansion episode for Half-Life 2, Aftermath, has suffered a delay (didn't see that one coming). Last we heard it was going to be released this month, but according to Valve's Doug Lombardi we won't be seeing it until next year now. Valve :We're working very hard to finish this new episode for HL2, however, its going to take us a bit more time to get it into top shape. As such, the target release for this one is now Feb/March of next year. This is disapointing. It was suppose to come out in the 15th of November, this month. 5 days from now.
