In-game adverts

Recommended Posts

My wife, the notorious Princess Sarah just mentioned the XBox (and MSN Search) product placement in the movie The Island. If video games are getting mentioned in the movies, perhaps we'll see more ads in video games.

Didn't the later Tony Hawk games have product placement?

I know EA's Tiger Woods has product placement.

If you want product placement in a movie, Blade Trinity. They have a lot with Ipods.

If, while playing any game, crazy frog(or other similar irritating advert) springs up, I'll probably never ever again pay for anything made by the said company.

Product placement, such as coke in a modern or futuristic setting, which fits the overal atmosphere, is fine. I don't mind being brain washed without me knowing it, but I do mind the "in your face" adverts.

Has anyone seen PotentPaladin lately? He's been curiously absent.

I am very easily suggestible to food in novels. If I read Michael Dibdin I have to get in some red wine and cook up Italian. Not that this is always a bad thing, as I dicsovered recently after making lentil and ham soup while reading 'Medusa'.
