I think KOTOR II had two optional uses of the turret not counting the ground based one. In KOTOR it seemed random as you traveled between planets. I have to agree with Volourn. If they included actual space battles in K3, it would be sweet. But more like the ones in X-Wing, not like in K1 where you were running from the same six fighters after you left a planet. the key here is trying to find a balance.
