QeL_Droma
I have a microsoft cab format signature problem. I can't install cd2 because it's a zip file, which is converted into cab format. You can install cd2 in windows 98 but not in XP. Can you help please?
dufflover
have you tried other pieces of software - ones that use CAB's ofcourse. That should tell you whether it's your OS or specific to these game files. w666tvr
Have you tried the advice from LucasArts for installation problems after cd 1 in their forums? The thread is here. "We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo. QeL_Droma
I read the whole text, but it didn't solve my problem because i install the game 2 weeks ago without problem. The problem accured after i reinstall windows again. It is not a cd problem
w666tvr
If you haven't had any problems installing other software from CD-ROM after reinstalling windows, then, sad to say, it does sound like a CD problem - the fact that you have installed before not withstanding. Is the surface of the CD scratched or marked in any way? Even fingerprints could cause a problem. Have you tried cleaning the CD with a soft cloth? Copying the contents of the CD to a folder on your hard drive - as the LucasArts post suggests - might just get around the problem, after all. I think i can't install it because i missed something to install to my computer i am downloading driver updates.

w666tvr
This is the full Windows XP Service Pack 2, all 260+MB of it. There are instructions further down the page for using windows update to do it, if you'd rather not download the full "all-in-one" package...
