I apologize for to overall crapp-ee-ness of this question but, having made my lightsaber on Dantooine how exactly do I build another and where might I acquire the parts?

You can't build any others but you will find others throughout the game.

Once you build your first lightsaber, others will appear randomley throughout your adventure. They tend to be on Jedi Corpses, or in vaults.

since were on the subject I'll ask this question.

 

I was messing around and I took a quick look at the back of my game case and found that on Telos when you fight the HK 50's the picture has Exile with a lightsaber anyone know anything about that?

I think that picture was takin when Obsidian was waaaaaaaaaay in the first stages of devolopment, when they weren't sure of the planet order. For example, on the back of Prima's Official guide, it shows a male Exile weilding 2 lightsabers, wearing a Jedi Knight Robe ( before Obsidian decided to make robes more...long and flowing) with Kreia and Atton, fighting the mining droids in the Peragus Mining Tunnels. As you can see, KOTOR 2 went through many stages of development before reaching the final product.

Ahh, I see. Thank you. I've juiced up my double wielding feat but I can't find anything but short lightsabers to use in the offhand.

Really? And how do you do that? Is it a workbench glitch?

If you get a kind of lightsaber you don't want, just restore the game and open the container/talk to the person again. You will often get something different, and you don't have to restore a game from before you entered that particular area, at least I've never found that necessary.

 

I prefer Two lightsabers to one double-bladed anyway, because you get more crystal bonuses.

You can get two lightsabers in just a matter of minutes, once you arrive on Dantooine. Clear out the Enclave sublevel, buy the parts from Jorran, take the salvagers' bodies to Zherron (it's OK to tamper with the will), and you'll have the 3 parts right away, assuming that you got the first part from Czerka or the Ithorians on Telos.

 

You can buy a color crystal from the lady in the salvager's camp. Talk to Bao-Dur, and get your saber built.

 

For your second saber, just go back to the Ebon Hawk, defeat Visas, and you'll get a whole lightsaber instead of a part, since you already built your first.

Agreed -- 4 power crystals instead of two, and double the other parts as well. Woohoo! I did rather feel like a dunce when I figured that out, though... But while you're low on parts, a double-bladed is the way to go.

Tel Aviv, I think weilding a short lightsaber for the off-hand is the ideal choice.

On my last play through, the only normal single blader I got was the one I made. Every single other one was double or short.
