Probably because Toshiba realized that Blu-Ray is a far superior technology and wanted a stake in it. But anyway, only one new format instead of two. Smart move by both Sony and Toshiba. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

If they actually do decide to go ahead and use a VR Goggles type setup, and it can control the way your character looks in shootery games, I might actually be able to get along well enough even with the crappy thumbstick for movement...too bad Nintenedo Shooters are the only ones I can really get along with anyway.
