Judge Hades Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Ever seen the television series? Scarring indeed.
Judge Hades Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Yes, the films and tv series were the worse. The original novel wasn't all that great either. I had to take a seminar for my degree in which we studied the whole Planet of the Apes mythos and Jane Goodall.
Surreptishus Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Seen it, liked it will check the series out on DVD. I don't think a cinema release sequel is likely, i suppose a return to TV could happen if whedon was up for it - what were the Firefly DVD sales like?
Judge Hades Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 The sales of the series DVD supported the costs of the movie from what I have heard.

The great sales of the series DVDs is basically what got the movie greenlighted. The dvd sales of the movie is basically the onyl really hope at this point, coupled with the preformance of the Joss Whedon written and directed Wonder Women. Edited October 17, 2005 by kumquatq3
Surreptishus Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 Is Wonder Woman really going to happen? The last Comic book film with a female DC character was horrible.

Judge Hades Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Joss Whedon is seeking to give the Wonder Woman movie the Batman Begins treatment.

Surreptishus Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Seen the first three eps of Firefly and i like it, the show really grows on you. Now i can understand why you were all crazy about it. About WW i feel that the only route to surefire success would be to have a shower scene with WW and the amazonian women... ahem " and then later Superman and Batman show up and form the Justice League.
kumquatq3 Posted October 18, 2005 Author Posted October 18, 2005 Did you see "Shindig" yet? The end of the sword fight might be the best moment of the series.
Surreptishus Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Just saw it now - the poking was funny. p.s. I love Inara In the future space hookers will be lovely.

Surreptishus Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 (edited) Ok its official, i am a fan. I've watched about 10 episodes and love it and also hate that it was cancelled and would really like to see the series continued in some cinematic/televisual form. Reveal hidden contents I actually care about wash and book's untimely demise. Edited October 21, 2005 by Surreptishus
